Short answerSome Hy-Vee locations sell dry ice and some don’t. Call your store before you go. In October 2026 we saw it listed online at $2.59 for 1 lb (Penguin brand).
How to check your store
- Call the store and ask whether they have dry ice in stock today, and in what size bags.
- Ask whether it’s kept at the front, the service desk or the seafood or meat counter.
- Bring a cooler that isn’t airtight and insulated gloves.
