Short answerLeave leftover dry ice in a well-ventilated spot at room temperature, out of reach of kids and pets, and let it turn to gas on its own.
Do
- Leave it in its foam cooler with the lid loose, outdoors or in a well-ventilated room.
- Keep kids and pets away until it is gone.
Don't
- Don't put it in a sink or toilet. The cold can crack pipes and fixtures.
- Don't put it in a trash can or garbage chute.
- Don't seal it in a container. Pressure can build until it bursts.
- Don't leave it in a small closed room or a car.
